About Brian

I am a long term resident of the Lockyer Valley. I started my working life in Stafford, Brisbane in 1971 as a Trainee Manager for a supermarket chain. After two years I took up an apprenticeship as a Hand and Machine Compositor at Brisbane’s leading newspaper. These were 12 very fulfilling years.

Travel called, and during the early 1980s my wife and I backpacked and worked throughout Europe, The United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Israel, India and Sri Lanka.

Upon returning from our dream trip we started our family of three amazing daughters. During this time I changed my career into Primary Education. I had to return to high school to complete my Senior Education (so many of us left school at Grade 10 – back then). On to Teacher’s College in 1986 and my first school in 1989. I have worked in Education for 28 years; 2 years as a classroom teacher in Brisbane, 3 years as a Teaching Principal near Goondiwindi and a further 23 as a Teaching Principal and Principal in well known schools across the Lockyer Valley and the Brisbane Valley.

Skills, expertise and specialities

Holding a full Real Estate Licence since 2009 I have a sound knowledge of Real Estate practices and processes.

I’m fortunate enough to be looking after our rural and residential clients across a beautiful part of the world. In my job I enjoy meeting people, and learning about their needs and stories is a privilege. I am motivated and enjoy matching the dreams and needs of my clients with properties for sale.

Harcourts is a unique company, and its team works so well together. I am committed to making the process of purchasing or selling your property as easy and as stress free as possible backed up by the strong, reliable systems in place at Harcourts.

Between 2017 and 2022 Brian sold approximately 1500 hectares (3700 acres) of land across the Lockyer Valley.

Whether buying or selling I can be trusted to provide open and honest communication with a great service experience!

Community Involvement

Since moving to the Lockyer Valley in 2004 I have enjoyed being involved in community life. Currently my main interests are as Actor, Producer and Treasurer of the Lockyer Regional Performing Arts Inc, based out of the Laidley Cultural Centre. In 2022 I started driving for the Lockyer Valley Meals on Wheels. I have had a very long association with the Lockyer Valley Celtic Pipe Band as piper and Drum Major.
